The 2012 Guatemala Calendar is finally here!  this project is more than just a fundraiser for a Missions trip, it was a great attempt at bringing back the implication of teamwork, and getting EVERYONE involved in a missions trip weather or not you realized it.

On my 7 week journey with God and CCCG in Guatemala, I came to understand the importance of teamwork, family, empowerment and guidance in a whole new perspective. One of CCCG's biggest endeavors is the children of CCCG, the villages and the city. Pastor David's vision to raise a new line of Godly driven leadership in their countries future generations is his want for them.  His vision is one many should take in other countries (including our own).

So using what I have as a given talent I was given the idea to make a calendar, but not just make a calendar but involve everyone I know in it somehow.  And what better way to get people involved now-a-days than Facebook.

My goal was to create a calendar not of my favorite pictures of the time spent in this beautiful country, but a calendar of photos YOU picked.  Each photo in here went through an two part voting series to make it to print. For those who had voted, you made this calendar what it is.

You are also a part of the help and support that I receive to be able to fund these trips. The only thing I did was use my artistic God given vision to build the pages. Because of you this calendar has built much more than a portfolio piece. It brings together people who want to support missions but may not have the ability physically or financially to.

With that said I thank all of you who participated in my shenanigans on Facebook and all the voting that went on!  If it was not for you and God's will, this calendar would not have come together as it has.

These calendars will be great ways for you and your family to keep up with your faith, and enjoy wonderful faces of the children and this country that you have supported.

Funds for the trip

Typically these trips, which are done through Stroudwater Christian Church, run about $1300.
My goal is $1600.

My reason is plain and simple; support.  Again all funds raised from the sales of these calendars will be used for this trip. The extra $300 I am looking to raise will help go towards sponsoring my child Carlos in Guatemala City.  Carlos is 13 and has 4 siblings who are all eligible as well for the feeding program CCCG offers to the children in need. Carlos is one of the hardest workers and most dedicated team members of the FENAD youth group they have at the Church. During my 7 weeks there every time I was at church he would be there early helping set things up, stay late to tear things down, and when ever asked to do something he would do it. Only a few of the reasons why I chose him as my Sponsor child. If they are to raise a new breed of leadership in their country, kids like Carlos who have the drive and devotion but not the financial backup need your help.

Each calendar will be sold for $15 for one or $40 for 3. Supplies may be limited, so please call or email me to purchase your calendar.  I am working currently on trying to build PayPal account so you can order online.
